Athenree Lifecare is a family owned rest home, hospital, and secure dementia care facility that provides 24-hour care for those who can no longer manage safely in their own home. Providing the best in elderly care and situated just 30 minutes from both Tauranga and Whangamata our unique location allows referrals from both the Bay of Plenty and Waikato District Health Boards. Situated on the picturesque waters edge of the Shelly Bay Estuary, residents enjoy calming views of the water, native flora and fauna. Care Options

There are a number of care levels that can be offered to our residents to make sure they are looked after in accordance with their medical, physical and psychological needs. Our residents arrive with us with having had an assessment which indicates which type of care they need. Our staff monitor this on an ongoing basis to ensure residents are receiving the best possible care. We work with residents, families and our medical teams to create personalised care plans. SECURE DEMENTIA CARE

We provide specialised 24 hour care in our 14 bed secure dementia unit and garden that is designed to cater specifically for our residents needs.

RESPITE CARE

Being located close to reknown holiday destinations such as Mount Maunganui and the Coromandel Peninsula our repite care is very popular over the holidays.

We provide specialised 24 hour care in our 14 bed secure dementia unit and garden that is designed to cater specifically for our residents needs.
